This Week In Fail – Over Saturation

Let me get this straight first, the video I posted is not “fail”, I posted this to highlight my point of quality over quantity.

Now to relate it to hip hop, as well all know Lil Wayne is going to jail and before his [now postponed again] sentencing he recorded something close to 20 videos. I personally would prefer to see just 1 video from him during his incarceration with as much creativity as the above video, instead of 20 of him dancing in front of a green screen.

I can’t see the point in releasing all these videos during his jail time, it’s not like people will forget about him and maybe this time away from music will mean all he does is write and we get some music like Tha Carter 2 days, well, we all can dream.

This Week In Fail: Fake Rapper Features

Yesterday I posted a track “featuring Lil Wayne”, after a listen the “feature” was just a few lines someone had jacked from one of Wayne’s songs and stuck on his own hook. This kind of thing pisses me off because if somebody did that it means they’re using that famous name to get themselves noticed, I’m of the school of thought that you get yourself noticed by making good music.

I woke up this morning and I got a track from City Boy supposedly featuring Drake, after a listen it was the same situation and the previous track I just mentioned. A while back SNKX told me I should do a “This Week In Fail” kind of post because I was talking to him about all the tracks I get that I dont post. So here’s This Week In Fail courtesy of City Boy.
